Jane-Marie has a BSc in Microbiology & a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham. She started her career at Campden BRI, before moving on to work in the food manufacturing sector. She has been an independent consultant since 2005, providing a variety of technical & food safety solutions to a wide range of food manufacturing, catering & retail operations. For the last three years, she has been working closely with the aviation sector, improving food safety standards. She travels extensively, having worked in Africa, Asia, North America, South
Curtis Eaton is the Volunteer of the Week for his help with website testing. He is also part of the working group to establish at Student Group within IFST and the student representative on the Sensory Science Group.
Ruth Birt is our Volunteer of the Week. Ruth has been working with IFST HQ to coordinate an event which will coincide with our Jubilee Lecture in November. Ruth currently chairs IFSTs Scottish Branch actively encourages the committee to get involved and is always willing to help when needed.

Tony kindly agreed to give a talk on TACCP at our next Food Safety meeting on 11 September and has agreed for it to be recorded so that members who aren't able to attend the meeting are able to access the talk after. Tony also encourages his team at Leatherhead Food Research to become IFST members and was a speaker at our Jubilee Conference.
Melisa Kupaza was awarded Volunteer of the Week as she recently volunteered to Chair a working group to look at setting up a new student group for IFST. She's also a member of our Education and Careers Committee. For more information about the student working group, please contact Erin Taylor.
David Rosie was awarded Volunteer of the Week for his active and continued support of the Institute. David has been actively involved in the creation of the Register of Food Safety Professionals. He has/continues to serve on a number of Committees and is also an active member of the South East Branch. He was elected as an Honorary Fellow in 2013.
Margaret Everitt is the Volunteer of the Week for her continued support of the Institute. Margaret has been heavily involved with the Sensory Science Group (formerly Professional Food Sensory Group) and is involved in two different committees.
