As part of the 2013 Strategy for Agricultural Technologies the UK Government provided funding for four Centres for Agricultural Innovation (or Agri-Tech Centres) – Agrimetrics, the Centre for Crop Health and Protection (CHAP), the Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock (CIEL), and the Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation Centre (Agri-EPI).
On Wednesday 21 March 2018 the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), on behalf of Innovate UK, is hosting a prestigious event to showcase these UK Agri-Tech Centres and provide a unique opportunity for all four Centres to highlight their capabilities through bespoke ‘show and tell’ tours, covering Crops, Livestock, Precision Agriculture and Data.
The aim of the event is to enable key decision makers from across the Agri-Food supply chain to find out more about the capabilities of the Agri-Tech Centres, and particularly the cutting-edge R&D assets on which funding has been spent. The event will also provide an opportunity to hear about funding opportunities for Agri-Tech R&D, including an update on the ISCF “Transforming food production” £90m funding call, as well as networking with key people from across the agri-food industry.
