WRAP has just launched The UK Plastic Pact Roadmap 2025 which outlines what key actions businesses should take to combat the problem of pollution caused by plastic packaging.
The actions relate to a series of important milestones aligned with the targets of The UK Plastic Pact, the world’s first programme to tackle the issue of plastic waste through collaboration across the entire supply chain.
The targets include the elimination of problematic or unnecessary single-use packaging; making 100% of packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable; successfully recycling 70% of plastic packaging; and making 30% of the content in plastic packaging recycled.
WRAP has set three key milestone dates: April 2019, the end of 2022 and finally by 2025.
