Registration for the EFSA conference 2018 – Science, Food, Society is now open. The call for posters has also been launched. The deadline for submissions is 2 April.
EFSA conference 2018 is constructed around the motto “contextualising risk assessment”. This means reflecting on the future of risk assessment in food safety while acknowledging the social and political context within which it operates. Researchers, risk assessors, social scientists, risk managers and stakeholders from all over the world will gather to discuss issues around the complex interplay between science, food and society.
The conference will be organised in plenary and breakout sessions covering the following themes:
- Where science meets society: putting risk assessment in context (Plenary session)
- Advancing risk assessment science
- Human health
- Nutrition
- Biological hazards
- Environment
- Managing evidence
- Engaging with society
- Envisioning the expertise of the future
The event will take place in Parma, Italy from 18 to 21 September 2018.
