This is a volunteer role.
IFST’s work is overseen by various committees and panels. We’re a finite community of professionals and we’re keen to ensure our committees and panels have good representation from across the sector to take that work forward. Playing your part shouldn't take up a lot of time, typically between two and four meetings a year. So if you’re interested in getting involved, do put yourself forward for the role below.
Gain an insight into the financial management of IFST and help support the work that we do. We’re looking for new Finance Committee members, particularly mid-career professionals, who have an interest in the financial aspects of running a small charity like IFST. The executive, accountants and financial advisers look after the finances day-to-day, so the Finance Committee’s role is to oversee, challenge, and support that activity. You don’t need to be a financial whizz but knowing (or wanting to learn) your way around a budget would help. The committee meets quarterly for about 2.5 hours, mostly online but once a year in person. If you’re interested or just plain curious, please get in touch.
