Sustainability is becoming increasingly crucial for all businesses, especially those in the food and drink sector. Beyond managing energy and water usage and minimising waste, food business operators must ensure their materials are sustainably sourced.

Looking ahead, sustainability legislation is evolving, with global governments adopting different approaches based on their unique political and economic considerations. This dynamic regulatory environment presents global businesses with challenges related to traceability and reporting. In the UK and EU, sustainability legislation is a key focus within the food industry, potentially impacting the entire supply chain, from farm to fork. The industry is being pushed towards detailed data reporting, meeting packaging recyclability requirements, and responding to growing consumer demands for product sustainability.

In this webinar, we will explore various legislative considerations for food businesses and practical steps they need to take. We will also examine the impact of the dynamic regulatory environment on developing external business communications and product-specific claims.

What participants will learn:

This webinar will demonstrate how the regulations will impact on foods businesses and how organisations comply with regulations across very complex supply chains. The means to communicate data associated with products and their sustainability will be shown.

Target Audience:

Food professionals and early career food scientists/technologists
