As the Food Standards Agency marks its 25th anniversary, the FSA’s Chair, Professor Susan Jebb, reflects on why the FSA was set up, how science has shaped the approach to regulation and how regulation needs to evolve to manage future risks.
Speaker: Professor Susan Jebb OBE, PhD - FSA Chair Professor Susan Jebb has been Chair of the Food Standards Agency since 2021. She is one of the UK’s leading scientists, a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Her recent research has focused on the treatment of obesity and interventions to encourage healthy and sustainable diets. |
