Whether you work at a food company, have set up your own company or wish to develop this new set of skills, this Developing a Food Sensory Analysis Panel course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to set up your own food sensory panel, develop your own sensory tests and analyse the results you obtained.

The course will provide you with the practical understanding of the principles and techniques of food sensory analysis. This includes choosing the relevant type of sensory test, setting up a consumer panel and a trained panel, creating your sensory questionnaire, evaluating the performance of the panel and analysing the relevance of the results.

Who is this course for?

This course is for those working at a food company and wanting to further develop the sensory analysis capacity of the company, those who have set up their own company and want to implement sensory analysis of their products or for those who wish to develop this new set of skills for their CV. 

What will I learn on the course?

The module will equip you with the practical understanding of the principles and techniques of food sensory analysis. This includes choosing the relevant type of sensory test, setting up a consumer panel and a trained panel, creating your sensory questionnaire, evaluating the performance of the panel and analysing the relevance of the results.

By the end of the course what will I be able to do?

On completion of the course, you will be able to:

  • develop your own sensory tests; and
